Lost without you (1)

There’s an old clock in my room,

whose hands are static in protest .

It has been months, I know,

But it hasn’t ticked since you left

Is there a need for me to say,

That I stopped ticking too?

I don’t live now, I exist,

I stopped keeping time after you.

These wounds will heal,

But these scars will stay .

Painful reminders,

Of an ugly day

I will move on,

and I will forget.

I will move on,

but I haven’t yet.

Post Scriptum: This poem has been composed by my friend Suyash Srivastava and is the first compilation in the series Lost Without You. A wonderful writer, I wish him all the best for future.

    1. Hahahaha thanks for your affirmative words but this poem has got nothing to do with me. It has been composed by my friend. I’ll extend your regards to him.
Thanks for reading and appreciating 😊
