School Punishment

It was one of those doomed days when you have to submit your homework. Luckily, it wasn’t my doomed day because I had completed my homework. I had little to worry. The teacher came in and we wished her. She tried a hard smile! I would call it a smirk! She must have known that it was her day. Today she would trouble us, and not the vice versa.😂

She started collecting the notebooks roll number wise. Suddenly, a boy came to beg me for my notebook. I gave him but told him that he must return it to me before my turn came. Maybe, that was silly on my part, because I was just 15 roll numbers away.

“Roll number 28″~ she called out. Obviously, my notebook couldn’t be submitted because it wasn’t with me. I turned towards the boy to ask for it. He told me that he had passed on the notebook to me. What? But it wasn’t with me…

The teacher gave me an angry look and I started scolding the boy. Why couldn’t he give it personally to me when he took it away personally? Why couldn’t he do the homework on his own? He could have begged someone else also… But why does it have to be me every time?

Everyone was stunned by my behavior and the teacher asked me to stand for the entire period. Just one of the girls in the class, seemed to be unmoved by my punishment. It was my friend Sam. She was busy scrambling the notebook.

Ignoring my punishment, I went to her absentmindedly. I just turned around one of the notebooks from which she was busy copying. Yes, it had to be mine! She explained that while the notebook had been passed on to me, she stole it midway to complete her work. She apologized also. But her ‘sorry’ was loud enough to distract the teacher from collecting notebooks and turn to us with a murderous rage.

“How on the earth did you reach there?” She yelled at me. Before I could answer her, she turned to Sam to scold her. She asked her if her homework was complete. Obviously, it wasn’t. So she sent me and Sam to stand outside the class. The boy was already standing there. I was still so angry at…. I dunno what…. That I yelled back a ‘sorry’ at him.

“Are you apologizing, or, or… scolding me?” He said, seeming ready to cry the next given moment.

A moment of awkward silence and I started laughing. Sam joined me along and we laughed until our stomachs ached. Eventually, the boy too joined in. And again we burst into a fit of laughter…

We laughed and laughed and laughed a little more…😁😆😁

  1. Dear friend,

What an amazing story and a kind of happy end 🙂 I would not have expected that you all three would laugh tears in this situation – well done behaved – it was the saving mean in this situation.

    Great, dear friend 🙂

      1. A girl to my taste! I usually gave out my homework before classes. And I once got the boys punished for me attacking the three of them! I was a little mean back then, when I as 13 …

  2. During my 9th grade I was the only one who did perfect 100/100 in chemical formula chart, however one of my close friend, who was behind, asked my help. I offered him, the karma happened.

And the teacher in misbelieve that I completed way before others and also didn’t expected from me to produce such results asked to recheck my papers once again.

So he corrected his marks again, and he deducted some of it due to it.

Imagine the marks he deducted was double the marks my friend copied from me.

It was a good lesson to us.

    1. This was hilarious!☺
      Thanks for sharing this experience…
It just triggered my memory to something! During my 9th grade, final exams, an answer was passed to me from my best friend sitting 3 seats behind me… Unfortunately for me, the girl behind me didn’t know the same answer too. So she kept the chit to herself and copied the entire answer. By the time the chit came to me, the max time was up!
It gave me an important lesson that one shouldn’t rely on cheating!😢
      Just so miss those days

    1. Although the post was just meant for reviving some awesome memories, you taught me something that we unconsciously do while with our friends. True that, if it is applied to life also, then life will become more beautiful!☺❤
