Chocolate Wrappers…

It was 3 a.m. but her eyes refused to give in to sleep, her eyes were too stubborn to succumb. Uptil now she had been fooling her mind… But her heart had another, probably more powerful plans!

She opened her cupboard and searched relentlessly!  But, she could not find them… The Wrappers. They were Wrappers indeed because they had wrapped every feeling around her heart. 

Enough was enough! She had endured more than she ever thought. Now was the time to get rid of every feeling. Every memory…of him. She held the Chocolate Wrappers with shaking hands. All she knew that it was tough to let him go but this is how things were meant to be… But this seemed to be tougher. They were not chocolate Wrappers sans eaten chocolates(gifted by him), but treasures of her. They were memories cherished by her. They were longings felt by her desolate heart…

But, enough is enough! Today she would get rid of them. Today her soul would taste freedom.

She rushes towards the dustbin…

She opens it…

She throws them into the bin…

Next morning, when the sweeper comes to collect the garbage, the bin feels heavier to her than usual…

She gives it to the sweeper, who is about to take the bin from her hands…

Suddenly, she withdraws her hand back, takes out the Wrappers, and hands the dustbin back to the sweeper to empty it. The sweeper is dazed!
